After being away from the blog for quite a long while now there’s been a lot that’s gone on in the world and in my personal life. The last post was made from a completely different place mentally and physically for me. Since then (June 3, 2021) we’ve had a pandemic, a shake-up of the economy, and plenty of other wild bits of experience pouring from the spout of reality. Additionally I’ve then since moved into a home from an apartment which has proven to be a completely different experience of living from where I was in the past. Interestingly enough the blog inactive as it was never really left my thoughts for long.
Blogging here always served as a sort of outlet for me. It allowed me to paint a wall with the things present in my head and sometimes what was wrote ended up being a surprise even to me. There’s something in letting go and churning up what is riling around in there. The build-up of the blog over time sort of became, in part, sort of a testament to “who I am” in a sense. It’s a place where someone can come to learn about me in a unique sort of manner and its available to anyone. I’ve really come to enjoy this about the blog and it feels good to be back to it so that it may continue to grow and maybe even help others put their mind to a place of learning or positivity.
In the past I had made mention that things you’ve done serve as a rock for you to return to when the rivers of life sweep you off course as they tend to do. Like a desk and lamp set to a room that you’ve elected to do your studies in, it will draw you back in when time allows and serves as a physical reminder to you. If what you intend to do is something that takes time, chisel it to your life like the rock climber ties himself to the side of a mountain. What lasts of it when drawn off course will beckon you back into the fray if you allow it to do so. It feels great to be back on course, and I intend to do a write up alongside the nightly journal/planning phase of my day. Maybe it will break free of the last consecutive post record.
In my absence I took up making pottery after working a season on a farm. The owner of the farm inspired me with his wares and there was little I could do but to learn it myself. Pottery is a life long learning experience and it’s become an important piece of the picture. If you’d ever be interested in something of the sort keep an eye to this page for pieces that come up for sale. For now they will be uncommon while I study IT but they will come about from time to time.
