Most of us understand that if we do not take care of ourselves we will be unable or unfit to take care of others. Taking care of yourself doesn’t have to just be during moments of stress or exhaustion. Doing so regularly and developing a habit of such TLC pays dividends. When was the last time you really laid into treating yourself? A time when you did it just because you deserve such treatment in self care.
Consider taking some time this week or weekend to set your responsibilities aside. If you normally take a shower try taking a nice, long hot bath with a glass full of your favorite beverage on the side and some relaxing tunes to do the moment justice. Leave your projects, worries, and such behind for a day or even for a few hours. Your body and mind have been working hard for quite some time. They will thank you.
